Please Attend SPNW Congress July 4th at SUSA Gathering

On July 4th we will select a new chair and vice chair for Subud PNW.  You won’t want to miss it. So please attend.  There are accommodations available to  allow you to just attend the Subud PNW Congress and not the SUSA gathering.  Please contact the SUSA Gathering organizers for details.

More details about officer selection and proposals that will be presented are available here.

Please Attend our Monthly Potluck Meeting Sun. 6/28

Your committee envites you to attend this Sunday’s monthly Group potluck and meeting.  Please bring something to share.

There will be cake in celebration of Bapak’s birthday (observance was 6/22) and everyone brings their favorite dishes.

Here’s a link to the agenda.

Looking forward to seeing you.

SD-USA board member pre-testing requirements

Each year SD-USA holds their annual meeting for members of Subud USA at the annual meeting of that body.  Some years – like this one – there are openings on the board for new board members.

If you are attending the SUSA Gathering in person and are thinking of putting your name forward to be a candidate for an opening on the SD-USA board, please consider the following:

Please pre-test question with a local (or any) helper:
ls it correct for [name] to put their name forward as a director for Susila Dharma USA?

If the answer is positive the following steps would take place

  • Nominee submits name to SD chair, and a resume or bio, and why they want to join the board. [email: office@susiladharmausa.org]
  • Nominee is sent an outline of the board responsibilities.
  • Chair discusses the responsibilities with the nominee.
  • Nominee attends a board meeting, has a Q & A session and discusses the responsibilities with other board members.

Please Note: There is a SD-USA board meeting at the SUSA congress where you could attend and ask questions.

News from England via Mariamah Mount

Insiah Caspers is in England, visiting her daughter Mariamah for an extended stay. I miss her!
Here’s news and a photo from them.
Mariamah and Insiah report they’re doing well with lots of adventures and time with Insiah’s
great grandson (Mariamah’s first grandchild) Emry, who is newly walking. He’s shown in this
photo trying to help his dad push the pram.
On the not-so-good side of her visit, Insiah recently fell and broke both wrist bones of her
dominant left arm. She is in a cast, recovering well, but the break is complicated and more
surgery may be required to insert a wire. More news to follow when updates come in.
Insiah and Mariamah send their love to Subud Greater Seattle.
